Economía y Productividad con Software Libre

Economía y Productividad con Software Libre is a book I published in 2009, which marked the start of my careers as a technology evangelist.

We’ve all heard the story of the creation of the personal computer, as told in Pirates of Silicon Valley and other movies and documentaries. However, what these movies neglect (or avoid) to talk about, is the contribution of Richard Stallman and Linus Torvalds.

In the first part of the book I’m retelling the story from the eyes of the Free software foundation and the Open Source movement, and try to make a case of how instrumental they have been in shaping the technology era we’re living today.

In the second part of the book, I offer a collection of Free, Open Source and shareware and Freemium software, from operating systems, to web-to-fax services.

The book is currently out of print, but has been released under Creative Commons and available on Github.
